Get your homeschooling paid for!
Mar 31, 2026
Attention: Florida Residents
At Seasons of Seven, we recognize that homeschooling is a significant investment of both time and heart, and we know that the added costs can sometimes feel like a hurdle.
That’s why we work diligently to keep our course tuition as accessible as possible without compromising the quality of our program. Beyond our own pricing, we are committed to being a resource for your family, actively seeking out and sharing every funding opportunity, scholarship, and grant we can find to help you outsource costs.
1. What is the PEP Scholarship?
It is a branch of the Florida Tax Credit (FTC) Scholarship that provides parents with funds to direct their child’s K-12 education through various approved providers rather than a single school.
2. How is it different from a Home Education Registration in Florida? As a home educator in Florida we have several options: being part of an umbrella school, register with your county or a program like PEP.
-
Registration: You can register HERE at Step Up for StudentsL Scholarships for PreK-12 in Florida.
-
Funding: You receive ESA funds (roughly $7,000–$8,000+ depending on grade/county) to spend on educational needs.
-
Requirements: You must submit an annual Student Learning Plan and results from a nationally norm-referenced test.
3. What can I spend the money on?
-
Full or partial curricula and textbooks.
-
Private tutoring (by certified teachers).
-
Online courses.
-
Part-time tuition at an eligible private school.
-
Contracted services from public schools.
-
Testing and exam fees (AP, SAT, industry certs).
- Books, educational toys.
- Sports classes and training.
4. Who is eligible?
-
Residency: Must be a Florida resident.
-
Grade: K–12 (eligible to enroll in public school).
-
All income levels may apply.
5. What are my main responsibilities?
-
Apply/Renew: You must apply through Step Up for Students.
-
Plan: Submit a "Student Learning Plan" detailing your educational goals and chosen resources. (This is a super easy process, not as intimidating as it sounds!)
-
Test: Ensure your student takes an approved annual test and report results to the SFO. (There are many tests to choose from to support your child, some can be taken in the comfort of your own home.)
-
Manage: Use the SFO's online portal to pay vendors or request reimbursements for approved expenses.
