A Life in Music
Apr 28, 2026
I believe music is fundamental to the human experience. Our relationship to music, how prominently it factors into day-to-day life, varies from person to person. But the essential fact remains, music is in our DNA.
It’s with that spirit I approach music education. I’ve been a professional musician most of my life — and a huge factor in that was my early exposure to music learning and the teachers who inspired me and helped ignite in me a passion for music at a young age.
At Seasons of Seven, I aspire to be that teacher. The one who brings joy to the study of music
in such a way that the students get fired up about music; eager to learn more, explore more,
discover more, grow more musically.
Because you don’t have to be a professional to be a musician! It lives in our breath, it’s connected to our bodies, it speaks through our hearts... and it touches so many aspects of our lives and of our education; music is math, language has rhythm, histories can be told through the musical styles that evolved and shaped lives.
Music is for everyone. My own personal musical journey has led me around the world to perform for tens of thousands of people, to singing on the soundtracks of the last few Disney movies, from choirs to rock bands, from Broadway to writing acoustic tunes in my room... to sharing the gift of music learning with extraordinary groups of young people.
I love sharing the joy of music with as many people as possible, and I’m beyond grateful that I get to do it every day.
